How does the Artist Residency work?
You rent a room or an apartment and do your own itinerary. For renting one of the apartments, please see RENTALS page
What is included in your rental fee:
7 nights accommodation with access to all public spaces: kitchens, garden, living/dining rooms, swimming pool, palapa, BBQ, painting studio on hacienda terrace
Transportation to plein air painting locations, grocery shops and nearby restaurant
Self-serve breakfast (coffee, tea, toast, jam, eggs)
Kitchen appliances, oil and spices for your cooking
Studio space, easels, turpentine, containers, paper pallets.
Creative community, lots of painting fun sharing with new friends :)
What is NOT included in your rental fee:
Transportation from PV to Casa Buena. Although we can arrange a local Uber to pick you up or you can also take a bus.
All your meals are your responsibility. We can drive you to the grocery store. You can also hire a local cook to prepare your meals.
Please have your travel insurance in place.
We will have wine for sale.

Master Bedroom on main floor:
This spacious ocean view bedroom has a queen bed and one irregular shape single bed. It could be a double occupancy. The attached full bathroom is also very spacious. Small inbuilt table, lots of shelves and hooks for your belongings. It is attached to the Living room.

English Bedroom on main floor:
This quiet bedroom has two double beds. It could be a double occupancy. The attached full bathroom is also used by another bedroom occupant. Small inbuilt table, North-facing window, lots of shelves and hooks for your belongings. It is attached to the Living room and the main bathroom

Green Bedroom on main floor:
This quiet bedroom has 2 windows, a double bed and lots of shelves. Shared main bathroom

JUNGLE SIDE
Master Bedroom on the third floor:
This spacious bedroom has a queen bed, in suite bathroom and a charming balcony facing the Mountains on East side. It features two arch windows on the ocean side and one window on Jungle side

JUNGLE SIDE
African Bedroom on the second floor:
This bedroom has a double bed, a unique in-suite bathroom and windows on the Jungle side. Very quiet and cool.

Yellow Bedroom on second floor:
Cute bedroom has two single beds. Has 5 arch windows facing sitting area outside of the bedroom . It has private bathroom

This bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony on the ocean side. Also, 2 other windows facing South and East

This spacious double occupancy bedroom has a queen bed and a double bed. It features a big window and a glass door of a balcony on the ocean side and 3 windows on the Garden side. In-suite bathroom has 2 windows facing the magnificent mountains on the East .

Casa Verde
Bedroom on the main floor:
This bedroom has a double bed and it is attached to the kitchen. It has two windows, a table with stools and lots of shelves. The private bathroom is located outside of Casa Verde, a few steps down from the patio

Bottle House
Our very unique casita build entirely out of bottles. Bedroom with queen size bed, bathroom, fridge/hot plate/ small kitchen appliances, patio, very private surroundings in the middle of our magnificent gardens, access to salt water swimming pool, palapa, BBQ.

TRANSPORTATION
You can rent a car in Puerto Vallarta or hire a taxi or a shuttle bus that can pick you up from the Casa. It is very reasonable and reliable.
There are buses leaving from near by Hotel Casa Manana (10 min walk from the house)
To get here, you can take a bus from Puerto Vallarta (15 USD, 3 hour journey), or ask us to pick you up at the airport ( $150 USD, 2.5 hours scenic drive) .
ACOMODATIONS
Spacious colourful rooms with comfortable beds; most rooms have private in suite bathrooms and showers. Some are double occupancy. Please see our pricing for accommodation or contact us for more information. Made service included
MEALS
Depending on your rental package, you can have all meals prepared for you, or you can use our full kitchen facilities to create your own meals. We can drive you to nearby village for groceries.
Please contact us for pricing on including 3 delicious meals, made from scratch with fresh ingredients from the local market.
Wine selection and pricing are available as well.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
Mexican pesos, camera, binoculars, sun screen and bug repellent of your choice, sunglasses and swimsuit, ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, all your meds, supplements, a photocopy of your passport, long sleeve top and long pants.
Internet
WIFI in the Casa is available and good.
INSURANCE
Please make sure you have your travel insurance in place prior taking the workshop. That should cover any medical expenses as well as luggage loss, etc.
SAFETY
The area where Casa Buena located is very safe and people are layed back and friendly. Most populations are Mexican, but there are a few Expats live there as well.
